Running from 1st to 31st August, Birmingham Restaurant Festival returns for 2025 with its most exciting line-up yet. Over 50 of the city’s top restaurants are offering specially curated menus at outstanding value, and Edgbaston Village is proudly represented by three of its finest.
Thanks to our leafy streets, period charm, and vibrant mix of independent bars and restaurants, Edgbaston Village has become a favourite destination for relaxed, quality dining just minutes from the city centre. This August, Simpsons, Chapter, and Smoke + Ash are flying the flag for the area, each serving up a specially created menu that showcases their individual style, seasonal ingredients, and signature hospitality.
Simpsons
Refined dining in a relaxed setting
A pillar of Birmingham’s fine dining scene, Simpsons has held a Michelin Star since 2004 and continues to impress with its elegant, ingredient-led approach. Set in a beautiful Georgian villa, the restaurant combines sophistication with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
For the festival, Simpsons presents a special £70 tasting menu, showcasing the kitchen’s signature modern flair, seasonal ingredients, and impeccable service.
Chapter
Seasonal British cooking at its best
With a strong focus on local, sustainable produce, Chapter offers modern British dishes crafted with care and creativity. A firm favourite among locals and regularly featured in the Good Food Guide, it’s a must-visit for anyone who appreciates thoughtful cooking in a relaxed setting.
Festival diners can enjoy two or three-course menus from just £25, making it the perfect spot for lunch, dinner, or a spontaneous midweek treat.
Smoke + Ash
Pizza, pasta, and cocktails with edge
For casual dining with big personality, Smoke + Ash delivers in spades. With Neapolitan-style pizzas, flavour-packed sharing plates, and a standout cocktail list, it’s quickly become one of Edgbaston’s most popular spots.
Their Festival menu offers two or three courses from £20, ideal for a laid-back date night, weekend get-together, or relaxed dinner with friends.
Whether you’re revisiting a favourite or discovering somewhere new, Birmingham Restaurant Festival is the perfect excuse to explore the very best of Edgbaston’s growing food scene this August.
