Christmas Officially arrives in Edgbaston Village
Christmas has officially arrived at Edgbaston Village as Santa Claus and his helpers switched on the festive lights on Friday 22 November.
A jubilant crowd gathered on Highfield Road to enjoy a special Frozen-themed celebration from Elsa, Anna and Olaf, as well as festive performances from The Boogie Woogie Gals, Elmhurst Ballet School and carol singing from a local school choir.
Natasha Walkden, sales and marketing manager for Calthorpe Estates, said: “The Edgbaston Christmas Lights Switch On brought the local community together once more to celebrate the festivities and enjoy fantastic entertainment. This year’s event was our busiest yet and seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces as Santa Claus switched on the lights was a lovely moment.
“Edgbaston Village has hosted the annual event for five successive years now and it was great to see so many people take the opportunity to explore the area and enjoy the wide array of fantastic food and drink on offer.”
Edgbaston Village is home to an eclectic mix of lifestyle and leisure facilities, including boutique shops, bars and award-winning restaurants. To find out more explore our website.
